Dawa peak, December 5

Light update on the progress of Enrico and Nicolas as we try to keep in touch with them via the satelitte phone. You know, spending 2 months with Enrico in the Nepali mountains does not leave you the same as you were prior to the experience !!!

Enrico and Nicolas have been contemplating steep faces all day long, day after day. As a result, they opened yet another NEW ROUTE !

Next to the Dawa peak is an unnamed summit that tops at 5850m. They named it "Kanchha" after their porter just before going wild and climbing it. The result is a route coined "m'han dato 5 al modulo di misto..."

It grades 6/m7/A2/X and is 600m long.

As far as we know, the two are back out to work in the Kyajo Ri area.
